The school's data belongs to the school
This is what we commit to for the data of every school that uses Nasaq.

Ownership
Everything a school enters in Nasaq belongs to the school: its structure, teachers, timetables, cover, duties, holidays and everything that goes with them. We keep and process this data only to provide the service to the school.
Each school kept apart
- Each school has its own database, and its own folder for its logo and attachments.
- The database we use to manage licences holds no data from schools' timetables.
- When the Mac and Windows app is activated, only the email, the licence key, the device fingerprint and the version number are sent. Nothing from the timetable leaves the computer.
No third parties
Nasaq is not connected to any analytics or advertising service, and loads no fonts or scripts from other servers. Messages to teachers are sent from the administrator's own phone through WhatsApp or Messages, and carry only a short line and a link; the details stay inside Nasaq. We add no outside service without telling the school first.
Student data
The timetable, cover and duties need no student data. If the course system needs student data, it is kept only when the school uses it.
Teachers' private links
A teacher's link cannot be guessed, and we store only a fingerprint of it, never the link itself. It shows the teacher only what it was sent for; a cover link expires at the end of the day, and any link can be revoked at any time.
Backups and updates
A backup of the school's data is taken before every update, and a failed update is rolled back automatically.
When a licence ends, or the school cancels
- When a licence ends the school becomes read-only, and nothing is deleted.
- If the school cancels, we hand over all of its data in a single package.
- After the handover is confirmed by the school, we delete its copy from our servers within a period agreed in the contract.
